Wake Up Women Inc. is a nonprofit organization in Georgia, founded and led by Yvonne Spencer. She is a mother of four sons and a proud grandmother of five. Born on December 28, 1969, and raised in Harlem, New York City, Yvonne is the daughter of the late Louis Willie Spencer Sr. and Jacquline Pauline Spencer.

Her life has been a journey of trials and triumphs. She has endured the pain of drug addiction, alcoholism, domestic violence, and even sexual harassment while serving in the military. Through it all, she held on to faith, believing that the Lord was guiding her every step of the way.

Yvonne testifies that God took her by the hand and turned her life around. Through the love of Jesus Christ, her brokenness was healed and her soul made whole. He lifted the heavy chains of addiction, healed her pain, and replaced her despair with hope. What was once an “unclean soul” has been made clean, restored, and redeemed by His grace.

Although you may not always see her, Erika plays a vital role in keeping our programs running smoothly. She manages projects, oversees ongoing responsibilities, and ensures that daily operations stay on track. Her dedication and reliability have earned her the trust of the organization, giving her the authority to make key decisions that support our mission and long-term success.

Meet Sandra
Sandra has a heart for children and a long history of serving them—as both a dedicated crossing guard and a youth Sunday school teacher. Now, as our Youth Coordinator, she focuses on creating and leading programs that inspire, educate, and support young people in their personal growth. Alongside her passion for youth development, Sandra also plays a vital role in managing the organization’s finances, ensuring that our mission continues to thrive.

At Wake Up Women & Stand Up Men Incorporated, our mission is to provide a safe, faith-based transitional home for women and men in need—offering shelter, guidance, and support to those overcoming homelessness, incarceration, addiction, and crisis. We are committed to restoring hope, fostering healing, and empowering individuals to rebuild their lives with dignity, purpose, and faith in Jesus Christ.

Wake Up Women is dedicated to raising funds and providing resources that empower women to achieve their highest potential. Our mission is to connect women across communities and around the world, helping them build confidence, discover their strengths, and embrace their purpose.
We serve women who have faced difficult challenges—whether struggling with addiction, transitioning from incarceration or homelessness, surviving abuse, or escaping gang violence. Through our sisterhood, we provide safe transitional housing, emotional support, and encouragement to help them rebuild their lives.
